I just realized that I haven’t blogged after my “Paris trip” goal. (I even made a “Take Trippy to Paris” category on my blog to keep track of my progress but until now there’sonly one post under it. Haha #FAIL)

Anyway, this blog is dedicated to all the great things that happened to me this year. And as I always say, let me go over it in bullet points. (Lazy mind forevah)

This year, I am most thankful for:

1. Getting one of the coolest jobs in the world.

I feel super blessed to work for a company which I really like and have been patronizing even before I became affiliated with it. The best Marketing strategy that I’ve learned this year is to love your own product. I think everyone should be their company’s ambassador/ambassadress. People will start checking out your product if they can see how genuinely crazy you are about your company.

2. Social/spiritual realizations.

This year, I started to be more inquisitive about almost everything and I think that this has helped me mature a lot. As we grow older, we should engage more often in this intellectual exercise: PONDERING. “Why is there so much suffering in this world?” “Where do all these pain come from?” “Why do some babies have cancer?”. There’s nothing wrong with having these questions in your mind as long as you proactively seek the answers while keeping an open mind and heart.

3. Having my first boyfriend.

To all the young girls out there, wait for the right guy. People may ridicule you for being a “manang” but the feeling that you’ll have once you open yourself up to the right guy is priceless.

I could go on and on about the wonderful blessings that I have received this year but I’ll just save it for my journal. :-p

I thank God for never giving up on me and for giving me all these blessings. I’ve had such a wonderful year that sometimes, I think God has given me too much already. :-p

2012, I am super ready for you! And mostly, I am super excited about my European trip! YEYYYY!

A little update on my “This Piggy Will Take Trippy to Paris” post. As of this month, I have already reached almost 1/2 of the amount that I need for my trip next year. I’m very positive that this trip will push through. And oh, I have also applied for my Schengen Visa! Woot! If you’d like to join us, just let me or Bea V know. We’re going to 5 countries so this is going to be the most awesome bonding experience evah! Let’s conquer Europe together! Haha

If you’re my friend, youu know how much I love Paris. I love it. I adore it. If given the chance, I would like to live there for a year or more.

However, my Parisian dream has not yet materialized until now. It is too expensive for me. The only “French-related thing” in my life right now is my perfect grade in French class and my frequent visits to Paris Delice along Makati Ave. #pathetic

But thanks to a pep talk from my boss, I think my dream will finally turn into reality (hopefully) next year.

So here’s how it will work:

Ever since I started working, I take cabs everyday – both to and from work. I tried riding the bus and MRT but my lazy and maarte body just repel it. So basically, a huge chunk of my salary goes to my transportation expenses.

But this will change NOW.

After a long persuasive talk and deliberTion (haha), I am now determined to take the bus everyday – both to and from work. *cringe*

The pros:

1. After computing my weekly cab fares, I found out that I CAN SAVE P50,000 EVERY YEAR IF I TAKE THE BUS! #biggestshockofmylife

2. If I take the bus, I’ll have to walk from our building to the bus station – which means INSTANT WORKOUT. #HelloSexyLadeh

3. Walking daily will make me more fit and healthier. #GoodbyeDcotorsFee #GoodbyeMercuryDrug

4. I’ll be on time for work since I have to leave home early to avoid rush hour. No more late deductions!

The cons:

1. I have to wake up early to avoid rush hour.

2. MASISIRA ANG OUTFIT KO.

I am sooooo gonna do this! Wooh! And to start my Get Fit, Get Rich Plan, I revived my piggy bank that was once shoved into oblivion.

“Tu me manques” – basically means “You make me miss you.”

Today, I watched a movie that reminded me of you. This could have been another great topic for our weekend conversations. While I was watching it, I couldn’t help but think of you.

So I composed a text message telling you how much I enjoyed the movie especially the lines which made me laugh. I put in that message everything that I would have told you if we were still in speaking terms. But of course, I had to eventually delete that message because I can’t send it to you anymore.

And this made me realize that in a short span of time, we have already shared a lot of things. And it sucks because now, I’m surrounded with things that remind me of you. I hate you for making me miss you.

I don’t know how long I’m going to feel like this. But if I had one wish, I’d wish everything in our lives would be perfect so we can be together.

Gaahhd, you make me so emo.

I am writing this entry to alleviate the pain that I’m feeling right now. I have really no one to talk to about this because I feel like no one can really understand what I am going through. I have become quite a connoisseur when it comes to unrequited love. But for some pathetic unknown reason this recent “heartbreak” is exceptionally painful.

I am just miserable. I used to do well in faking “happiness” but now, not even a day of pretentiousness has passed and I am back to overworking my lachrymal glands again.

I really don’t have the energy to intelligently put together this whole entry. So I’m just going to write down everything that I’m feeling in bullet points.

• The feeling that I have whenever I hear happy love songs right now is the same feeling that a vampire has when he’s exposed to sunlight – I can’t stand it.

• I have realized that the cheesiest songs/lines are the ones that you can really relate to when you’re heartbroken. It’s simply because it blatantly describes the exact feeling you have at the moment.

• I feel like this heartbreak has boosted someone else’s self confidence. So this suffering is not totally in vain after all. (Pats myself on the back)

• I have also realized that the word “brokenhearted” was accurately coined to describe the feeling that one gets when she experiences a heartache. Because right now, my heart is literally aching. I feel like someone has dropped a massive boulder on top of my chest. All I want to do is curl up in bed and cry. (I never thought that I’d say that last line. I always thought it was cheesy and overly emotional)

• And finally, the last thing I need right now is to be told by everyone to be “happy” and just “smile.” You see, I just can’t be that way right now because I’m really miserable. It hurts. It fucking hurts. ( Yeah, it’s that painful that I had to spell out the “F” word)

But just like any other story, I can’t end this post with agony and the “F” word. I’m too idealistic for that. (Stabs myself). However, I really can’t think of anything hopeful to put here. So I’m just going to copy what Paolo Coelho recently tweeted:

“There is meaning to our pain if we rise above it.” 

I never intended to waste 350pesos on a documentary about JUSTIN BIEBER’s life, most especially in 3D. I hate 3D and I hate stupid movies. But, being an “Ate” meant that I had to support my baby sister when she desperately wants something.  So I reluctantly agreed to watch the Bieber movie on the opening day even if it meant social suicide for me.

I have openly been a Bieber hater since all these Bieber-centered tween pandemoniums started. I don’t understand why this little boy with perfectly coiffed bangs could cause such rumpus.  I just don’t think he’s talented enough to deserve all these attention. (Well….that’s what I thought)

My initial plan was to drown myself in popcorn while watching the movie, but surprisingly, I actually ended up enjoying  it.

So here are my bulleted experiences/thoughts/advice:

1. In order for this experience to be complete, you have to watch the movie with TWEENS. Make sure that you are surrounded by them because aside from annoying you, they will contribute a lot to your “enjoyment.”

2. If you don’t want to be converted into a “Belieber,” I highly suggest that you avoid watching this movie.  The materials contained in this docu have some serious “Bieber” conversion powers.

3. Bring a towel. This should serve as a covering to your mouth when you can no longer control the urge to burst into laughter. I’m telling you, the tweens’ reactions while watching are hilarious.

4. This movie is also capable of bringing out the fan girl in you.  All the behind-the-scenes footages of Justin are really endearing. It can melt a Bieber hater’s heart.

5. The story revolves around The Bieb’s journey to Madison Square Garden (MSG). Okay, so apparently in Hollywood, the ultimate measure of a singer’s success is if he/she has performed at the MSG, more so if it’s a sold out concert. In Justin’s case, his MSG show was sold out in 22 minutes. #GoTweenPower

6. Here are some notable (for me) parts of the movie:

- Justin’s mom is addicted to taking home videos. Good for her! Haha. I think 1/4 of the movie was comprised of videos taken by Justin’s mom when he was still a little boy.

- BOYZ II MEN! This was truly an exciting part for me. Justin collaborated with them for his song U Smile and basically turned them into his backup singers. Way to go Justin! COOL MO.

- Justin Bieber can rally sing! YEAH. You read that right. He really has a nice voice. All those home videos of him singing songs from Ne-Yo and Chris Brown were amazing! I don’t know why they keep on giving him songs that don’t showcase his good voice.

- In all his concerts, they always pick one girl from the audience for the One Less Lonely Girl number. The girl is whisked to the stage and is given a bouquet of roses and is serenaded by Justin. You could tell by the amount of tears coming out of every girl’s eyes that that moment was probably the BEST moment of her teenage life.

- I laughed so hard at the part where Justin’s teacher was telling the story of how the janitor wiped out Justin’s autograph from his locker. The efficient janitor thought that it was graffiti, so he wiped it off.

- Since the movie’s in 3D,  prepare yourself for the hilarious sight of tweens reaching out to Justin during the parts where he looks at the camera and “reaches” out to the audience.

- As predicted, you’ll see his famous bangs in all its 3d glory. (Almost died laughing in this part)

- Miley Cyrus is on it too! So it was a double treat for the tweens! Yey Hannah Montana! Hahaha. I was actually surprised at how grown up Miley is now. She looks super chic when she sang Overboard with Justin. LOVE her skinny legs!

- Gag-inducing moment: Gigantic floating heart with Justin sitting in the middle of it while singing.

- 3D confetti FTW! This was very entertaining for me. Hahaha. I almost reached out to “catch” the sparkling confetti.

Overall, I enjoyed the movie.  I think every Bieber hater must watch this so they can be “enlightened.” I know I’m putting my “film aficionado” image on the line by saying this, but I sincerely liked the storyline.  In the end, it makes you think about what you really want in life, and makes you want to pursue it no matter how many road blocks you encounter.

It’s truly inspiring. (There, I said it. Now shoot me.)

I wasn’t able to resist the urge to sing along with the kids when Justin started sining Baby at the end of the movie.
